How to Start a Partnership Firm:
A partnership firm is a business started by two or more people together. You can either:
- Just make a Partnership Deed and start (unregistered), or
- Register it with the Registrar of Firms for better legal benefits.
Steps to Start:
- Decide a name for your business
- Write a Partnership Deed – This is an agreement between the partners.
- Notarize the Deed – Get it signed and stamped.
- (Optional) Apply for official registration with the government.
Documents You Need:
For the Partners:
- PAN card
- Aadhar card or any ID proof
- Passport-size photo
For the Firm:
- Partnership Deed (written and signed on stamp paper)
- Address proof of the office/shop
- NOC (No Objection Certificate) from the owner if rented
If You Register the Firm:
- Filled Form 1 (application form)
- A copy of the Partnership Deed
- PAN card of the firm
- Affidavit (a declaration by partners)
- Fees payment
