How to Start a Partnership Firm:

A partnership firm is a business started by two or more people together. You can either:

  • Just make a Partnership Deed and start (unregistered), or
  • Register it with the Registrar of Firms for better legal benefits.

Steps to Start:

  1. Decide a name for your business
  2. Write a Partnership Deed – This is an agreement between the partners.
  3. Notarize the Deed – Get it signed and stamped.
  4. (Optional) Apply for official registration with the government.

Documents You Need:

For the Partners:

  • PAN card
  • Aadhar card or any ID proof
  • Passport-size photo

For the Firm:

  • Partnership Deed (written and signed on stamp paper)
  • Address proof of the office/shop
  • NOC (No Objection Certificate) from the owner if rented

If You Register the Firm:

  • Filled Form 1 (application form)
  • A copy of the Partnership Deed
  • PAN card of the firm
  • Affidavit (a declaration by partners)
  • Fees payment
